Success for RSR at Val de Vienne

A successful weekend for all the RSR drivers saw all of them stand on the podium at Val de Vienne.

Joining the RSR team for the weekend was Richard True, who after several years of Radical racing took his first race win.

RSR regular Laurence - in only his first season of Radicals made it onto the podium in the second race after a troubled first race when he was mistaken for a kerb by the Jackson SR3.

Rob Croydon joined RSR again and ran strongly throughout the weekend, managing a P3 in race 1 and Tony Freeman managed two third places in the clubsports.

After a convincing 23 second win in the first race, the Coleman/ Greensall pairing looked strong in the second, with another win looking likely.  However following the driver change a mechanical failure put Nigel into the gravel on his first lap.

Running less cars than normal at Val de Vienne meant that some of the RSR regular team members were absent - but not forgotten.  Woody was in charge of the catering (never good - see the pictures) and Dave and Jim no doubt enjoyed watching the Grand Prix with their families.  It was also particularly quiet without Plucky, and just because he wasn't present during the weekend doesn't mean he's getting off lightly.  Click here to find out what he's been up to this week.
